A man denied alcohol for having no ID allegedly returned to a Riverton, Utah gas station carrying a shotgun. Police say an armed customer inside opened fire, killing Ofa'tangikivaha Angilau. The armed citizen remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Riverton officials called incidents like this rare while noting situations like this are why some people choose to carry concealed firearms.

Another Undocumented Tragedy (New York Post)
Marcos Iriarte-Valdez is charged with murdering 68-year-old Todd Stewart during an alleged Martinez, California home burglary. Court records show Iriarte-Valdez was already facing felony burglary charges and had been released again on August 5 after an alleged home-detention violation. Stewart was killed August 6. Federal authorities have identified Iriarte-Valdez as being unlawfully in the U.S.

Passengers aboard Delta Flight 591 from Las Vegas to Atlanta spotted an unauthorized Wi-Fi network called “Delta Wifi Fast,” prompting the crew to shut down onboard Wi-Fi for about 30 minutes. Delta says its systems weren't hacked and flight safety was never threatened. The FBI and FAA are reviewing the incident, which came just after DEF CON in Las Vegas. Investigators have not established a DEF CON connection.
