Good Good Golf and Callaway released a driver ad showing co-founder Garrett Clark shoving Good Good member Alexis Miestowski to the ground after she reached for the club.
The ad was deleted and Good Good apologized. Callaway later acknowledged that it had approved the ad before publication.
The backlash spread beyond social media: retailers reportedly pulled Good Good merchandise, the Big Break X Good Good premiere was delayed, and the future of the November Good Good Championship became a "fluid situation."
By Aug. 27, Callaway announced it was cutting ties with Good Good and donating $1 million to programs addressing violence against women.

MORON MOURNING (New York Post)
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani publicly mourned the death of Rikers Island inmate Clarence Woodward, who was awaiting trial in the 2024 killing of Jose Miranda.
The Post reports Woodward had nearly 30 prior arrests. Miranda's family blasted Mamdani's remarks as insensitive because the mayor's message did not acknowledge their murdered relative.
